He bent all 6 oem rods. Engine didn't catastrophically fail; he decided to tear down and inspect why it was running low on compression. E85 makes high compression boosted builds possible. With forged piston/rods and a good tune, longevity isn't much of a concern. If your aspirations are less than 700+ horsepower, I'd say boosted NA block is a viable option.
